DUBLIN (Ireland): Cricket Ireland announced on Wednesday among restricted teams for next month’s home game against South Africa. Ireland and South Africa will lock their horns in three ODIs and three T20Is from 11 July.
The three-match ODI series is part of the ICC World Cup series and is played in Malahide. The T20I series will be shared between Malahide and Stormont.

Andrew White, chairman of the national men’s electorate, said in an official statement: “The World Cup Super League against South Africa represents the first such matches at home, and while facing a difficult challenge, we are confident in the team we have chosen. Graham Ford and Andrew Balbirnie have plenty to offer options: Continuous improvement in George Dockrell’s stroke has provided us with stability and experience in the middle order, while it has been great to see our bowling attack team doing well in the last IP50 matches and two recent T20 festivals. ”
“In the context of Kevin O’Brien’s recent ODI retirement, the value of William Porterfield’s experience is as important as ever, and his recent form at the inter-provincial level has shown that he is still hungry to succeed,” he added.
ODI team: Andrew Balbirnie (Captain), Mark Adair, Curtis Campher, George Dockrell, Graham Kennedy, Josh Little, Andrew McBrine, Graeme McCarter, Barry McCarthy, William Porterfield, Simi Singh, Paul Stirling, Harry Tector, Lorcan Tucker, Craig Young.
T20I team: Andrew Balbirnie (Captain), Mark Adair, George Dockrell, Shane Getkate, Josh Little, Barry McCarthy, William McClintock, Kevin O’Brien, Neil Rock, Simi Singh, Paul Stirling, Harry Tector, Lorcan Tucker, Ben White, Craig Young.
