Vlad Lobak, Continuing Guide to Men’s Tennis Inks

BATON ROUGEThe LSU men’s tennis team officially announced it would sign the Minnesota transfer to Vlad Lobak on Wednesday morning. Lobak is a postgraduate student transfer and can play in the upcoming season 2021-22.

A Kievan Ukrainian has spent the last four seasons at the University of Minnesota. Lobak has secured 53 singles and 35 doubles victories in his time as Gopher. In the 2020-21 season, Lobak reached the top 4 of his career in the ITA doubles. He participated in the 2021 NCAA Doubling Tournament as a big promotion and earned my first seed in the tournament, Finn Reynolds / Tim Sandkaule (Ole Miss). In the class, Lobak has been named to the Academic All-Big Ten Team twice.

Before the days in Minnesota, Lobak attended the Gymnasium 32 ‘USPIKH’ course. He ranked first in Ukraine in the U12, U14 and U16 age groups and achieved an ITF rating of 150 before university. Lobak represented his home country by playing for the Ukrainian national team.

Lobak will join Gabriel Diaz Freire as a second graduate student to move to the LSU men’s tennis team this season.
