Idaho’s tight head comes in 13th place in Michigan football in the 2022 class

Michigans ’football program has added a new tight end to its 2022 class.

Three-star Colston Loveland from Gooding High in Idaho announced its commitment to the greedy on Sunday night in social media.

The 6-foot-5-230-pound, which is 588 potential and nationally 30-tight per 247Sports Composite ranking, will become the 13th pledge in the Michigans 2022 class and another tight, joining three-star Martin Klein. Loveland selected Ahmat for more than 14 other announced bids, including Alabama, LSU, Auburn, Boise State and Utah.

Loveland is a former recipient who is full and now has a traditional tight head, able to stay in line and block or split widely and compete against bus helpers or DBs, Brandon Huffman, National Recruitment Editor for 247Sports, wrote on his scout list. He’s a natural pass-catcher with soft hands, good, fresh routes and ball skills to go and elevate it. Can make people miss the open field and routinely get yards after the catch. Also plays the defensive head, with good feed acceleration, leverage and technology. Loveland is also a high-level basketball player and has a 79-inch wingspan.

Loveland, who has 160 catches at the 1963 shipyard and 19 contacts in the last two seasons, officially visited Ann Arbor on June 25th.

It was awesome, Loveland told 247Sports. Culture and people really stood out from me. I met all the coaches and the conversations were good. We discussed the ball and how coach (Jim) Harbaugh sees me in the attack.

Wolverines has received six commitments since June 19. However, it wasn’t all Michigan football fireworks on July 4th. Four-star defensive line dock Justice Finkley, Alabama’s top destination, did not include gluttony in his three schools he announced on Sunday.
