Shantha Rangaswamy is proposing a domestic pink-ball event ahead of the Australian challenge

BCCI Apex Council member Shantha Rangaswamy has written to her colleagues, including office workers, proposing an urgent need to hold a domestic pink ball competition ahead of a historic women’s day-night test in Australia on September 30th.

Since 2018, our women’s team had practically not even played red ball cricket, and playing under the lights at Perth’s WACA is a more difficult task. They have to play under the lights with a pink ball before they go on tour in Australia. He suggested two days of games involving four teams to prepare for the challenge of Down Under. India will play three ODIs starting Sept. 19 before the day-night test, and there will also be a 14-day quarantine. PTI
