New Delhi: Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni is celebrating his 40th birthday today and as expected the wishes of the Cricket Brotherhood were shed on the former Indian skipper. Dhon is considered one of the best captains who has not only led India but also played the game. The man who came from the ranch was the perfect package as he did an amazing job as a leader, finisher, and gatekeeper. Dhoni decided to hang his boots on August 15, 2020, and that was the end of the era. In fact, Dhon’s last match of Indian colors returned to the 2019 World Cup semi-finals against New Zealand, which the Indian team lost. Meanwhile, Dhoni led India in 2007-2017 in the form of limited transfers, while he led national teams in 2008-2014 in test form. During his success as captain, he led the team to glory in the T20 World Cup in 2007, which permanently changed Indian cricket and also contributed to the founding of the Indian Premier League. Dhoni also led from the front to lead the team to glory in the 2011 World Championships and played a 91-match winning playoff final against Sri Lanka at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. In addition, he took India to victory in the 2013 Champions Trophy, the last major ICC event won by the Indian team.
Dhoni was recently seen enjoying a family trip to Shimla. Talisman will be seen in action in the second half of the Indian Premier League in the UAE, where he will lead the Chennai Super Kings.
