Angelo Mathews is considering retiring from international cricket

Sri Lankan cricket has been suffering in recent months. The salary structure recently announced by the National Cricket Board has left many older players disappointed and they have since been out of use for national selection. This episode has certainly not proven to be good for Sri Lankan cricket as the national team has not done much in recent years. Therefore, the absence of significant players can further weaken them.

According to the latest developments, veteran versatile Angelo Mathews is thinking about international retirement. Mathews, 34, last played in Sri Lanka in a test competition against Bangladesh in April. He didn’t appear in limited parts for a variety of reasons, and now the star versatile plans to bring curtains into his prestigious career.

According to a Newswire report, Mathews has informed Sri Lankan cricket that he is considering retiring from international cricket. The veteran is currently discussing the matter and will announce his decision in the coming weeks. Mathews in particular is among the many older players who had opposed the new central banking system over transparency issues.
