Five-star DE Jeremiah Alexander is committed to the Alabama football team because of Clemson

Alabama defeated Clemson on the recruiting path at a five-star defensive end to Jeremiah Alexander, who announced his commitment to Crimson Tide on Thursday.

Alexander is the number one and number one generally recruited in the state of Alabama. He is a 6-foot 2, 230-pound defensive head (who could also play linebacker) from Thompson High School in Alabaster, Alabama.

This is the second time Alexander has committed to Alabama when he first selected the tide in March 2020, but released it in October. He held other schools along the way, including Georgia, UCF, and Clemson, but eventually Alabama won again.

“I committed myself [again] because of what I still saw in Alabama, “Alexander told ESPN.” When I resigned from Alabama, I never lost love, I was just opening up the fun with the process. “

He visited UCF, Georgia, Clemson, and Alabama, which helped him wade through what each school had to offer and which school was best for him.

“I went there open-mindedly and with a clear mind because it was a demolition point, so I saw other schools,” Alexander said. “I didn’t really compare them to Alabama, I just saw what they had to offer.”

At that point, Alexander still felt Alabama was the best place for him.

“Home atmosphere, I’m there every weekend,” Alexander said. “Whether it’s a visit or just playing with the players. I ultimately felt like I knew this was rare, but I felt like every Alabama coach was someone I was happy with.”

His commitment to give Alabama seven ESPN 300 commitments in class, four ranks in the top 50 with Alexander: Emmanuel Henderson, class No. 1 runner; Ty Simpson, Defender of Double Threats No. 1; and Le’Veon Moss, a third-place runner.

Thanks to its seven ESPN 300 commitments, Alabama now has four Ohio States, three LSU and Penn State, two behind Oregon and Notre Dame, and one behind Georgia in 2022.
