MUMBAI: The Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) established a home cricket task force on Saturday that includes former Indian skipper Mohammad Azharuddin, Rohan Jaitley, Avishek Dalmiya and Jaydev Shah.
The other members of the panel are Yudhvir Singh (Central Zone), Devajit Saikia (Northeast Region) and Santosh Menon (Southern Zone). They are working with BCCI President Sourav Ganguly, Vice President Rajiv Shukla, Secretary Jay Shah and Treasurer Arun Dhumal.
On June 20, the BCCI escalation council had decided that a 10-member committee would be established to review the domestic season compensation package and other aspects of domestic cricket.
Azharuddin is president of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA), while Jaitley leads the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA). Shah, a former Saurashtra captain, is the head of the Saurashtra Cricket Federation (SCA), while Dalmiya is the president of the Bengal Cricket Federation (CAB). Santosh Menon is the leader of the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA).
Following the BCCI being forced to implement a reduced domestic season this year due to the pandemic, BCCI has already announced plans to run a full-fledged season this time, with more than 2,000 games to be held.
