Tons of cricket-Shadman, Najmul put Bangladesh at the top in Zimbabwe

(Reuters) – Shadman Islam and Najmul Hossain Shanto made unbeatable centuries when Bangladesh set Zimbabwe a spectacular goal of 477 to win their fourth test on Saturday at the Harare Sports Club on Saturday.

Zimbabwe went on to close with 140 for three, and still needed another 337 victories in the wrinkles of Dion Myers (18 not absent) and Donald Tiripano (7 absent).

Brendan Taylor broke 16 quarters when he scored 92 balls out of 73 before he was late for the day to get the guests under tight control and leave Zimbabwe likely to be beaten on the final day.

Bangladesh had declared its second inning in 284 with one of Shadman’s unbeaten 115s, his virgin test hundred.

He put 196 in the second gate with Najmul, whose 117 came out of just 118 balls and contained six to six.
