Keshav Datt, a double Olympic gold-winning hockey player who died on Wednesday, was burned here on Sunday in the presence of his son and daughter.

Datts son Arun and daughter Anjali arrived this morning from London and Copenhagen. They attended an event hosted by Hockey Bengal (HB) at Netaji Indoor Stadium, where hockey friends gathered to honor the legendary player who won gold medals at the 1948 and 1952 Olympics.

West Bengal Sports Minister Aroop Biswas, Hockey Olympic Bronze Medalist Dr. Vece Paes, HB and President of the Bengal Olympic Federation (BOA) Swapan Banerjee and Mohun Bagan Secretary General Srinjoy Bose were honors for Datt.

Datt was destroyed at Keoratola Ghat in the afternoon.
