JAIPUR: In the upcoming events, the Rajasthan Cricket Federation (RCA) has relieved the men’s cricket team assistant coaches Dishant Yagnik of their duties. Sources in the state cricket body revealed that head coach Nikhil Doru and second assistant coach Puneet Yadav have retained their positions. The decision was made at an informal meeting on Sunday, and the RCA has yet to make it official.
The TOI had reported the incident in its July 6 issue, citing the gap between Yagnik and Doru and the possibility that either of these would not be part of the team in the 2021-22 season.
Doru, Yagnik and Yadav were given coaching responsibilities before the final home season. During the season, Yagnik had conveyed his dissatisfaction with working for the RCA under Doru and informed them that they would not contact him next season unless he planned to be made head coach.
Amin Pathan was elected KDCA official for the fourth time in a row: Amin Pathan, vice-president of the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA), was unanimously elected secretary of the Kota Cricket Association (KDCA) on Monday for the fourth time in a row. Vijay Sharma and Ashok Kumar will take over as the new President and Secretary. The entire 18-member executive committee has been elected unanimously for four years.
