Watch Texas people competing in the Tokyo Olympics

The names of athletes competing for the U.S. team at the upcoming Olympics in Tokyo have been announced, and there are dozens of Olympians in Texas representing the state.

The official list was released last Tuesday, which received both praise and criticism after radio star Sha’Carri Richardson of Dallas was banned from participating. Richardson was given a 30-day suspension after he tested positive for marijuana, a banned substance, according to the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency.

Athletes will compete in record highs at 339 events in 41 sports at the Tokyo Olympic Stadium and many other venues starting July 23rd. The full schedule is at Tokyo Olympics.
