Alabama has once again taken advantage of the five-star lines of attack coming from the IMG Academy in Florida, this time landing on Tyler Booker, who has the highest offensive battle and overall the number 7 chance in the 2022 class.

Booker from Connecter chose an Alabama SEC rival over Georgia. He officially visited both schools in June. He also visited the state of Ohio, Oregon and Florida.

“I didn’t expect to feel the way I left,” Booker told ESPN. “The culture was more impressive than I expected; everyone is committed to being great.”

The defending national champions had a fifth-ranked recruitment class in the 2022 period before Booker’s commitment. 6-foot-5 and nearly 330 pounds, he’s the next biggest offensive lineman to come out of the IMG Academy.

In 2019, Alabama signed Evan Neal, an overall fourth-ranked potential predicted for the first round of NFL draft selection in 2022. In the 2021 cycle, Crimson Tide signed OT JC Latham, the overall No. 5 that has already impacted Alabama coaches during the spring.

“I noticed how much [Latham has] increased physically and [a] the degree of maturity since he has been in Alabama, “said Booker, saying he has a brother-type relationship with Latham – so much so that Latham was his host on his official visit.

Booker, which is also a five-star opportunity, has excellent strength. Like Neal and Latham, he also has very good flexibility and body control, and he can be an effective, agile and well-rounded block. In addition, he has consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic and is quick to promote and lead by example.

“There is this competitive environment where everyone competes, not with each other, but with each other,” Booker said.

Booker is by far the tenth ESPN 300 opportunity in the Alabama 2022 class. He is its fourth commitment, ranking in the top two, joining second-placed defensive head Jeremiah Alexander (overall No. 11), behind-the-top defender Emmanuel Henderson (overall No. 17) and a top-class double threat. quarterback Ty Simpson (No. 30).
