Hall of Famer Ivan Lendl runs a tennis clinic at the Chautauqua Institution

Ivan Lendl, who won eight Grand Slam tournaments and 94 professional titles during his Hall of Fame tennis career, will lead the clinic next month at the Chautauqua (New York) institution.

The clinic is scheduled to operate from August 3 to 4 on its tennis court. Only 50 people are allowed to attend the event, which is recommended for intermediate and advanced level players.

The price is $ 400 per person. Accommodation at the facility’s Athenaeum Hotel is $ 906 per person based on double occupancy.

All participants must demonstrate that they have received COVID-19 vaccinations, and the last shots were obtained at least two weeks before the start of the clinic.

In 2001, Lendl, 61, was a member of the International Tennis Hall in Newport, Rhode Island. It happened seven years after he officially retired from the ATP tour.

A native of the former Czechoslovakia, who became a professional in 1978, was the dominant male player in the sport in the 1980s. He won the French Open and the US Open three times, the Australian Open twice and also reached the Wimbledon final in 1986-87.
