The field hockey places 12 BIG EAST All-Academic teams

NEW YORK A total of 12 members of the Old Dominion field hockey team were honored in the 2020-21 BIG EAST All-Academic Team, the conference announced on Tuesday.

Cam MacGillivray and Riley Taylor ranked among all academic groups for the third consecutive year. Lauren Arledge, Alice Demars and Nicole Fredricks all made the team for the second year in a row. First time winners include Lauren Holbrook, Delphine younger, Evelyn Murray, Shannon Quaile, Rina Tsioles, Jolene ulichney and Ilse Westera.

To participate in the BIG EAST All-Academic Team, a candidate must have competed in a BIG EAST-sponsored sport, achieved a grade point average of at least 3.00 in the previous academic year, and completed at least two consecutive semesters or three consecutive quarters of academic work, for a total of 18 semesters or 27 semesters. credits without remedial courses A total of 3075 student-athletes were honored for the academic year 2020-21.
