Fitchburg State University, Kayla Quinn, field hockey coach, Becker College

Kayla Quinn, who coached field hockey teams at now closed Becker College, has been named field hockey coach at Fitchburg State University.

Becker was 6-12 in the last two seasons, led by Quinn, a graduate of Worcester State. Four of his players at Becker were named to the NFHCA Division 3 All-Academic team.

Quinn will replace Kim Cosenza, who is now the WPI field hockey coach.

Quinn is also a local coach at Worcester County United Field Hockey, where he instructs and trains the U17 and U18 countries in preparation for post-high school play.

Kaylas ’enthusiasm for field hockey and the well-being of the student-athlete really stood out from the interview process. Fitchburg State Sports Director Matthew Burke said in a statement. He will have an immediate impact on our team this year and in the future.

Quinn earned the All-Little East Conference third-team honors in his final season while playing in Worcester State, in 2016.
