Winners from Macon will advance to the multi-state division competitions in August, and both Universal Tennis Rating and USTA points will be awarded along the way, which could affect university scholarships.

The Junior Tennis Team is a USTA league product for youth ages 8-18. Brown, a local professional and former high school coach, started the league about 20 years ago in South Carolina as a way to encourage year-round play except during school seasons.

The Junior Tennis Team is collaborative and includes; boys ‘and girls’ doubles, boys ‘and girls’ doubles and mixed doubles in a predetermined form, where the winning criterion is the total number of games.
