European champion Borodin is positive about the coronavirus and will leave the Olympics

ROC swimmer Ilia Borodin was found to have the virus today – before traveling to Japan tomorrow – so the game is ruled out.

The 18-year-old was the only athlete to have a positive result from “neutral” Russian swimming, Viktor Avdienko, first vice-president of the Russian Swimming Federation, told the state-owned news agency. TASS.

Borodin is now independent, and no close contacts have been identified.

In May, Borodin won the European title in 4min 10.02 s in the Hungarian capital Budapest.
