For the second year in a row, a bit of an excavation on the old Go Cards site, it so happened to reveal 2021 Louisville Football Media Guide before official publication from the university. You’re welcome.
This year’s cover has a cornucopia of athletes looking to get their cards back on track in 2021.

Even though the covers are cool and reading it takes a week and a half of my life, I get to the meat and potatoes that people are looking for when these bad boys show up every year, and it’s a predicted depth chart drop.

I let Keith hit to unload this further, but overall very few surprises for me. A lot of the guys we heard about in the spring who had earned places seemed to like them and the few freshmen we thought would get a shot early to play are ranked well. A few noteworthy items:
- At the starting point of Puryear DE over Peterson
- Ben Perry wants to earn a starting point as an SS freshman
- Newcomer Mark Vassett has been listed as Punter’s starter
- Trevor Reid added 18 lb last year, up 303 lb
- Luke Kandra added 17 pounds when he arrived on campus, sitting at 309 pounds
- Desmond Daniels added 23 pounds from what he had previously listed, now 270 pounds
- Jordan Watkins (as you noticed in the promotional video) added 19 pounds
- Dez Tell has added 10 pounds, putting together an NT game
- Yaya added 18 pounds from last year, now 273 pounds
- Ashton Gillotte, who fought from the starting point at the end, was on the list of 212 high schools, now 253 (+41) Woah.
- Ben Perry was listed on the 170 lb list and now carries 201 lb around the second degree.
Lots more nuggets in the future, I’m sure ….
Happy media guidance day !!!
