Cricket-Zimbabwe beat Bangladesh in 23 runs to equalize the T20 series

HARARE (Reuters) – Wellington Masakadza took three gates and three buttons to lead Zimbabwe to a 23-match win in Bangladesh in their second Twenty20 race on Friday at Harare Sports Club.

It was Zimbabwe’s first success for tourists after losing a one-time test, three ODIs and the first of three in the T20 series on Thursday and finishing on Sunday.

Zimbabwe scored 166-6 with the help of Wesley Madhevere 73, with Bangladesh responding with 143 in 19.5.

Madhevere gave the foundation a knock, strong hitter Ryan Burl added 34 not out, while Shoriful Islam took 3-33.

Bangladesh, which dominates the bat in all forms of the tour, failed this time to get better home players when Muzarabani was first blessed and then Masakadza made it into the gates.

Masakadza took 3-20 and Muzarabani 2-21, while Masakadza also took three prey deep to help his teams.
