5 SEC schools likely to vote against Texas football, OU joining

At this point, it really seems like an agreement that the Texas football program (among other sports, of course) and the Oklahoma Sooners will join the SEC in the near future. All the pace and leading indicators point to the future of Texas athletics in the SEC. And the pace seems to be picking up more and more not only daily, but also hourly.

One of the main arrests the Longhorns and Sooners face when entering the SEC at this point is the meager Texas A&M Aggies. Texas and Oklahoma clearly want to go to the SEC, and Texas A&M clearly doesn’t want those two schools in. Whether Aggi’s effort to prevent Longhorne and the Sooners from entering the SEC is really worrying or just a desperate attempt by a Texas Lone Star Showdown contestant not yet fully known.

But we know the Longhorns and Sooners need at least 11 out of 14 votes to get into the SEC. This would mean that Aggie would have to gather troops among other SEC schools that want to be with them in this vote to prevent Texas and Oklahoma from entering.
