If you’ve been playing the Valheim Viking sandbox game for a while, chances are you’ve amassed quite a bit of gold on your travels. When Hearth and Home’s release date arrives, you’ll finally be able to show off all that loot – the update will add loads of new features that will allow you to flaunt your wealth like a Nordic duck.
In the latest Valheim monthly development update, Iron Gate offers a sneak peek at the new gold-gathering features coming to the survival game in the months to come. Gold coins can be placed in the new coin stack and coin stack, which sparkle invitingly wherever they are placed. There is also a new treasure chest on the way, where you can store valuable items and supplies.
All this dirty payoff must be secured, of course, and so Iron Gate is adding a new iron grate to build as a door to your treasure chamber. This way, visitors to your extremely imaginative fortress will be able to look, but not touch. Iron Gate suggests you might even consider building cells to lock up captured gray dwarves, but we can’t recommend this kind of cruel behavior.
The studio also claims to have brought a new programmer, animator, and quality assurance manager to the Valheim development team, so we will likely see the fruits of their efforts when the Hearth and Home update arrives in the fall.
