Google has made it more convenient to get started with its Stadia game streaming platform by introducing several hardware bundles with the dedicated Stadia controller.
9to5Google reported that Google previously offered a discount for buying Stadia controllers and Chromecast with Google TV together. The deal expired on July 31, but was replaced by a new “Play and Watch with Google TV Package” that offered even better savings.
The original package reduced the price from $ 118.99 to $ 101.74 for a $ 17.25 discount. Google priced the new package at $ 99.99, which is $ 19 less than it would cost to buy the hardware separately, so those who bought the original package spent $ 1.75 more than they would now.
9to5Google has also spotted a package called “Play and Watch with Google TV Plus Ethernet Adapter Package” which includes the Stadia Controller, Chromecast with Google TV, and Ethernet Adapter for Chromecast with Google TV for an additional $ 10 discount.
Google slashed the price of the Stadia Premiere Edition, which includes the Stadia Controller and the discontinued Chromecast Ultra, from $ 99.99 to $ 79.99 after also removing the three-month trial for Stadia Pro. (New users can still get a one-month free trial of the service.)

There are only two Stadia-related products that aren’t discounted in the Google Store at the time of writing: the Stadia controller itself and the Power Support CLAW used to pair the gamepad with a smartphone. Everything else related to the game’s streaming platform is in these bundles.
This doesn’t necessarily bode well for the service, especially considering Google’s decision to liquidate the Stadia Games and Entertainment team that was supposed to develop exclusive titles for the platform, along with the slow pace of updates to Stadia itself.
