Update September 10, 5:01 pm ET: Sony appears to have run out of PS5 consoles for the day. Well, make sure you let yourself know when the next opportunity arises.

The PlayStation 5 is still hard to get, but as supplies come and go, one of the most reliable sources is Sony itself. Sony’s direct online store has opened a queue to order the disc-based PlayStation 5 console and the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition.

Once you are on the landing page, you don’t have to refresh the page, just try to wait patiently. When the countdown is complete, make sure you have your PlayStation Network account information ready to log in and complete your purchase if you are assigned a seat to purchase one.

PlayStation 5

Sony’s flagship next-generation console, which includes a disc drive, allows you to play both digital and physical games on PS4 and PS5.

PlayStation 5 Digital Edition

The PS5 Digital Edition costs $ 400. Compared to the PS5, this console costs $ 100 less and does not include a Blu-ray disc drive.

While you wait …

There are also a variety of accessories to consider when buying a new console, as well as all kinds of new titles to jump into. Here are some appetizers to ponder and keep your mind at ease while you wait in line.

Cosmic Red DualSense Controller

Like the original DualSense controller, the cosmic red model features adaptive triggers and haptic feedback but with a vibrant red and black design.

Sony Pulse 3D headphones

Sony’s wireless gaming headset, made to show the PS5 3D sound effect, also works on PS4.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart

Insomniac Games’ latest adventure in the Ratchet & Clank series is the funniest entry ever. It is also the first to launch on PS5 and is both a showcase for stunning graphics and fast loading speeds.
