Google is finally rolling out the new Material You design on some of its most popular platforms like Gmail, Google Docs, Calendar, and more. The material you design will bring a number of new changes that will bring better overall animations, new buttons. The design changes have already been made available in Google Drive, Sheets and Slides.

The new changes are part of the Android 12 design changes. The new design will bring changes to the action buttons and the inclusion of Google’s Sant font which should provide better readability.

Additionally, the apps will have large, crisp buttons, changing colors, smoother animations, and some revisions to the built-in apps.

Google has introduced more rounded edges which will help provide more clarity to users. However, the overall user experience will remain the same as the company plans to keep navigation patterns and option placement.

Google Calendar will receive the new changes from September 20, while the changes to Google Meet will be introduced on September 19.
