Sept. 10, 2021 – Construction of the Virginia Tech Innovation Campus in Alexandria begins on September 14 with a groundbreaking ceremony at North Potomac Yard.
This distinctive academic building will provide the space and environment for our faculty, students and partners to collaborate and seek technological solutions to challenging social problems, “Vice President and Executive Director Lance Collins. We are committed to building a technology campus that attracts and develops different talents and strengthen the greater Washington, DC metropolitan area as one of the nation’s most innovative technology hubs.
What: Virginia Tech Innovation Innovative campus. The media are invited to cover the event.
Who: Campus leaders, government officials and key partners will share the observations. Media availability with leaders selected after remarks.
When: Tuesday 14 September at 4pm. Please arrive by 3:45 pm

Where: The event will take place on the site of the future headquarters of the Innovation Campus in Alexandrias North Potomac Yard, near the intersection of Potomac Avenue and Reed Avenue (3625 Potomac Avenue). Street parking may be available; Additional parking is located at the Mattress Firm Potomac Yard (3925A Richmond Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22301). A shuttle from this lot will transport guests to the event every 10 minutes, starting at 3:40 pm
