The Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro introduced last week will start shipping tomorrow, and once setup is complete, you’ll need to install a software update on your smartphone to get all the advertised features, including Magic Eraser.
The new build comes with firmware version SD1A.210817.036.A8 for Verizon customers and SD1A.210817.036 for the rest. The update will automatically download in the background once the device setup is complete, but if not, you can try to verify it manually by going to the Settings> System> Phone System Update menu.

However, Google says that “due to rollout timelines and phased rollouts, some updates may not be available until 10/28,” so if you receive your Pixel 6 before October 28, the update may not be available for the download.
The Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are powered by Google’s in-house developed Tensor chip, but the latter packs a high-resolution screen, high-resolution selfie camera, 48MP telephoto lens, and larger battery. The Pro model also has UWB support.
