The Google Play Store is now adding a “Offers” tab to its app, but it has only been implemented for a small number of Android users.

Google Play Store adds “Offers” tab
The new section on the search engine giant’s app marketplace is an addition to the bottom bar of the Play Store app, adding to the current four tabs found below, according to the 9to5Google report.
However, the news also noted that Android users who subscribe to Play Pass, which provides ad-free apps and paid in-app purchases, also have five tabs in the bottom bar.
So with the new tab that Google is introducing to users from its Play Store, the number of options below could end up being cluttered into six.
However, 9to5Google also suggested in the same report that the engine giant could likely move the Play Pass tab to another part of the app to reduce the cluttered look.
“Offers” from the Google Play Store
It should be noted that the new Play Store “Offers” tab is located between the “App” and “Movies” sections of the app, making the add-on tab the center of all.
Once you click on the “Offers” section of the app marketplace, you will be greeted by a huge carousel, with “limited time events” from numerous apps.
The huge cards in the foreground carry the title “Offer for apps you might like”. In addition, there is also a counterpart created specifically for gaming titles, which reads: “Offers for games you may like”.

Under the big carousel cards, which include the limited-time offer and its end date and time, is the name of the app and its Play Store rating.
However, the new tab on the Play Store has yet to be released to the general public. For now, it’s only apparently found on some random users.
That said, Google has yet to confirm whether that feature will roll out to more Android users in the near future.

Play Store website redesign
Meanwhile, in addition to adding the new tab to the Play Store app, Google has also been working on a redesign for its desktop website.
According to the Arstechnica news, the Google Play website recently introduced a new design for its desktop users.
It’s worth noting that the Google Play website hasn’t undergone any major redesign since 2013, contrary to the endless iterations of the Google Play Store app.
The website now hosts options like games, apps, movies, books, with a more similar design to the Play Store app. Not to mention that the new filter feature also helps to search for things on the site much easier.
