Starting today, Google for Startups is accepting applications for the third cohort of our Founders Academy, which is dedicated to supporting black, Latino and veteran founders in the United States. If you are interested in participating in this four-month virtual program, apply here by January 10, 2022.

Founders Academy provides founders with the tools, best practices and community they need to raise capital and grow their startups. Googlers and industry experts conduct weekly sessions covering topics such as fundraising, hiring, and product development. All attendees are associated with a Google mentor who helps set clear business goals for the program and connect founders with people who can help them achieve those ambitions. Additionally, attendees are provided free access to investor office hours, public relations support, and mental health coaches.

“Boddle started raising money when we started the Founders Academy. The timing was fortuitous as it allowed us to take advantage of the program’s investor-in-residence. Tony was instrumental in helping us crystallize our proposal to the VCs and gain better insight into the negotiation for the $ 1.45 million funding round that we ultimately raised.

We also worked closely with Google mentors throughout the program. When we ran our first TV ad, Google marketing employees provided valuable feedback on the spot and our overall brand strategy.
