Description

UPMC Hamot Dietary is currently hiring a nutrition technician to join their team! This position will work with different hours, holidays and weekends in rotation.

Purpose: to assist patients with the menu process. Guide the patient’s food choices in compliance with the doctor’s dietary order. Screening of patients for nutritional needs. To provide excellent customer service.

Responsibility:

It supports a positive working relationship with others and actively supports and participates in performance improvement activities. Demonstrate Hamot’s commitment to service excellence by understanding the needs of patients, their families, doctors and colleagues and doing what is required the first time, each time being responsible, sensitive, thorough, timely, coordinated and business suit. Possesses the ability to obtain and interpret information taking into account age-specific needs. Ensures accurate implementation of the dietary prescription. Demonstrate exceptional customer service behaviors across all interactions. Complete all office tasks and process orders appropriately. Complete the tasks assigned to the patient. Attend the meal tray and nourishment delivery.

Qualifications

Degree in dietetics or a related field preferred; o High school diploma or equivalent with two years of technical experience in a preferred hospital or related area

Verbal and written communication skills. This position typically reports to the Clinical Manager.
