The Bizzarrini Giotto is a screaming new V12 supercar

It is fitting therefore that Giotto is powered by its own naturally aspirated V12 engine, albeit one seated behind the driver rather than in front, as in the legendary Bizzarrini 5300 GT. The Giotto will also have a carbon body, a composite structure and an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. Beyond that, the technical details are scarce, so let’s enjoy the design for now, shall we?

Appropriately written by Giorgetto Giugiaro, the Giotto is brimming with references and nods to its 5300 GT ancestor and, of course, typical Bizzarrini tropes that went beyond his cars. Fundamental among them are the “nostrils”, most famously seen on the 250 Breadvan and 5300, which are here reinterpreted to house the lights and frame the badge. The triangular B-pillar and wraparound-looking screen of the 5300 are also reinvented, although the Giotto has a more aggressive front stance thanks to its mid-engine layout.
