Bringing expertise to technology transfer in the UC Office of Innovation

Five years ago, Pinski and the technology transfer team moved into the new 1819 Innovation Hub, which serves as the centerpiece of the Cincinnati Innovation District.

“Being a part of this new initiative within the 1819 Innovation Hub has given us the opportunity to review everything we were doing on intellectual property through a new lens,” said Pinski.

Pinski’s team developed an express licensing option and industry-level program to streamline the process of moving innovations from lab or design studio to market. These processes make it easier for UC faculty and staff to disclose and license their intellectual property, and for businesses to license UC technologies.
