Are there any Hogwarts Legacy DLC plans? Latest expansion rumors

It’s been out for less than a week, but players have already rinsed the game for everything it has (players who, we assume, have no work or school this week).

Even if you’re just starting out, or even if you haven’t purchased it, there’s still a chance you’re curious about future DLC. Like Elden Ring, it’s a huge world that will only make fans hungry for more.

So, has anything been announced? Or are there rumors? We’ll share everything we know below.

Are there any Hogwarts Legacy DLC plans?

As of this writing, Warner Bros hasn’t announced any major Hogwarts Legacy DLC plans. But with the base game still very new (it’s not yet out on PS4, Xbox One, and Switch), that’s not exactly surprising.

If we’re talking purely about cosmetics, there are already additional DLC packs out there (like the Dark Arts DLC pack). However, as far as the type we’re talking about here – more missions, new areas – nothing has been officially announced.

However, there are rumors going on and there may also be some hints in the game…

What are the rumors about the Hogwarts Legacy DLC?

To begin, let’s talk about that Quidditch pitch. The lore of the game is that the sport has been banned due to injury, but the fact that the field is on the map gives us hope. Will Quidditch in Hogwarts Legacy become available in a DLC? We hope so.

Another possible DLC is a continuation of the story. With this, we could find out what happens after the “true” ending of the game and continue with our character’s progress beyond the fifth year.

There are also many potential new places in the wizarding world for a map extension. Even if players visit Azkaban on a certain quest, we’d love to explore the wizarding dungeon in a new, enriched map…perhaps linking to the evil version of the game’s ending.

Rumors on Twitter have already suggested that Quidditch was explored at one stage during development, as well as claims that the game’s map was scaled down during the game’s creation process. With that in mind, it doesn’t seem out of the question for these elements to be repackaged at a later date as DLC. We can at least hope!

Of course, if and when Warner Bros announces plans to follow up on the Hogwarts Legacy launch day experience, we will certainly update this page.
