Gmail and Google Calendar are closely intertwined. When you use the same Google Account on both platforms, Google automatically shows you events like flights, hotel reservations, and ticketed events like movies and concerts on your Calendar app. This data is pulled by your Gmail app from booking confirmation emails and the like.

1. Open the Gmail app on your phone.

2. Tap the three horizontal lines on the top left.

3. Scroll down and tap on the Settings option.

4. Choose your Gmail account if you are signed in to multiple accounts on your device.

5. Scroll down again to find smart features and personalization settings.

6. Uncheck the box next to Smart Features and Personalization.

7. Press Disable Features.

After you turn off smart features and personalization in the Gmail app, you will no longer see those events in your Google Calendar. This won’t delete older events that have already ended up there, but you can always delete them individually.
