Job Overview:

As an AVP Tech, Software Development leads a team and cloud services and platform solutions needed to host business-critical applications that differentiate LPL in the marketplace. This is a hands-on technical lead role in the commercial organization who will develop cloud-native services to support LPL’s overall cloud strategy and migration to AWS.

Responsibility:

Lead a team and participate in the design, architecture and development of solutions using modern cloud-based architecture and tools

Responsible for leading a team and managing deliverables.

Build and define best practices for common/reusable components

Build scalable/resilient solutions and ensure adequate instrumentation is in place for overall platform and service observability

Participate in delivery ceremonies to deliver sprint releases through stories/epics using Jira to track all development work and track overall speed

What are we looking for?

Requirements:

5+ years of design and development using common AWS services such as EC2, S3, ECS, EKS, ELB, Any RDS, Streaming (Kafka), Messaging (SQS, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ), Caching (Redis, Ignite, Redshift, elastic), NO-SQL and API Gateways

10+ years of proficiency in at least one language C#, Java, Python and full-stack development experience.

Over 10 years of experience working with RDBMS technologies such as MSSQL, Oracle or any other

5+ years with Linux/Unix scripting and experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

3+ years experience managing a team by overseeing development, creating strategic technology roadmaps, designing, delivering and providing expert advice to engineers.

Main skills:

Ability to convey technical solutions to the sales organization and experience working with senior executives across the business to leverage technology to drive positive business outcomes

Strong understanding of distributed/decoupled systems using messaging platforms

Strong understanding and experience with any relational / non-relational database

Thorough understanding of well-architected AWS frameworks

Possess in-depth knowledge of modern working practices such as DevSecOps, Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), Agile project Delivery, Release Engineering

Highly collaborative with experience in a hands-on technical leadership role

Preferences:

Any AWS certificate is preferred

Experience in banking and financial services

Any RDS specialization is preferred

Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong management presence

Payment Interval:

$132,160-$198,240 annually Salary range depends on a number of factors, including the candidate’s skill, experience, and location. Why LPL?
