Get ready for the first of many upcoming live events hosted by GDG Silicon Valley. Celebrate the spirit of International Women’s Day by spending Friday afternoon attending a seminar on setting up a personal study schedule for technical interviews by Elena Escalas, Software Engineer at Google and a talk on AI times: addressing the challenges and career opportunities of Natalia Bielczyk, Computational Neuroscientist & Founder, followed by Networking & Mentoring from the experts!
Please note that capacity for the event is limited and is on a first-come, first-served basis.
The theme of this event is: Dare To Be. The definition of daring is having the courage to try something new; challenging or defying norms; be brave and willing to take risks. For IWD 2023, we’re hosting an event with the theme Dare To Be, which empowers everyone to be brave, dream big and be bold. #WTMDareToBe
When we Dare to Be: we explore what it would mean to be boldly bold, to walk the world with courage and confidence. We are willing to try something new, step out of our comfort zone, and be unapologetically ourselves. We don’t let social or cultural roles or norms dictate who we are or how big we can dream.
The beauty of Dare To Be is that it’s part of a larger phrase: you can dare to be bold, to be innovative, to be resilient – it can apply to so many aspects of our lives. And to approach the subject from this perspective – to allow anyone to imagine what it dares to be – we recognize that each of us has something unique to offer. Each brings a different set of skills and strengths to the table. And when we as a community are able to harness the diversity of all those courageous skills and actions, we are able to further our goal of building a world where all women can thrive in technology.
