Responsibility

The Centralized Support Engineer will serve as a versatile employee providing support to the Nursing Units at Wellstar Hospitals, assisting with patient safety seating, patient transports, room turnover which includes a full range of area cleaning duties assigned and assisting liaison with Nutrition and Food Services with meal delivery and retrieval to the patient. The Centralized Support Engineer should assume the role of patient advocate providing world class customer support in day to day job duties as well as any additional duties assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum education required

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum experience required

Two years of experience in the healthcare sector preferred. Minimum Certification/License Required: Must attend and successfully complete WellStar Sitter course within first 30 days of employment. BLS preferred upon hiring. Successful completion of the BLS will be required within 30 days of employment.

Minimum skills required

Ability to read, write and speak the English language; Ability to hear and see alarms and digital readouts; Strong customer service and interpersonal skills; Ability to collaborate with other healthcare professionals in the delivery of patient care; Ability to function in stressful and emergency situations is essential. Must be versatile in learning and able to perform various job duties on a daily basis.
