About Ohio College Technical Preparation Southeast Region

[ad_1]

Ohio Tech Prep launched Tech Prep in 1991 with federal and state funding to create and support meaningful educational pathways, from career technology high school programs to post-secondary degrees and employment.

23 Tech Prep consortia represented all of Ohio’s secondary and post-secondary technical education providers. Each consortium had ample freedom to adapt the organization and services to the priorities of the local board of directors.

In 2011 the federal funding, which had supported more than 60% of Ohio Tech Prep’s budget, was eliminated.

Effective FY 2012, Ohio restructured Tech Prep’s focus on a common goal: to support, promote, and expand student access to quality vocational-technical education pathways by connecting secondary and post-secondary partners and leading the development of state-approved career paths and programs of study.
