no-boxx

Manchester-based startup no-boxx is launching a sustainable, reusable packaging and returns solution for e-commerce retailers, which it says eliminates single-use packaging and cuts CO2 emissions by 87% on just the second use .

This is currently being used in a pilot scheme by a sustainable sportswear brand, with plans for a wider rollout later in the year.

The reusable packaging bag has the potential to be used more than 20 times and consumers are encouraged to return the packaging to the retailer after each use.

It is made from recycled polyethylene (rPET) and is currently available to manufacturers and retailers in three sizes, depending on the size and quantity of items shipped.

no-boxx has secured a partnership with parcel locker company, InPost, which has a UK network of over 5,000 locations. Customers are given a QR code and hand in the returned item or empty reusable packaging to any of the 24/7 InPost lockers across the UK.

no-boxx uses its proprietary web application to track the lifecycle of packaging, allowing consumers and retailers to view their reduced environmental footprint and see delivery and returns status, as a result of packaging usage.

Cleveron

Estonian company Cleveron has presented Cleveron 354, a battery-powered outdoor parcel locker.

CEO Arti Ktt says: Our projections show that within a decade 80% of last mile deliveries in Europe will be made via lockers, which will become the preferred method for end customers.

This approach is not only cheaper but also significantly more sustainable. Battery-powered parcel lockers will play a vital role in driving this revolution, as they can be installed on virtually any street corner.

Cleveron 354 is designed to address this challenge head-on, offering an intelligent solution for a more sustainable world.

Implementing a network of lockers significantly reduces the need for home deliveries whose costs increase every year. Consumers have shown a willingness to pick up their parcels within a comfortable five-minute walk radius, making Cleveron 354 the best fit for network expansion.
