Ada Lovelace was not only a countess in the 1800s, she was also the first computer programmer and is the inspiration for Camp Ada, an inclusive coding camp for girls+.
The + in this description is important to us at Infoblox, because it means that every girl is welcome in this safe learning environment, plus students who do not identify with the gender binary and/or identify as trans. At Infoblox we welcome all kinds of diversity.
We strongly believe that we need more diversity in the tech industry, and Girls+ Coding Camps are a great start. Participants will learn the basics of coding and work together to compete in coding challenges to test their new skills. This four-day camp is designed to help participants learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively—skills that are important not only in a tech career, but in life.
