Following the recent announcement of its UK launch, US fried chicken restaurant brand Popeyes unveiled its senior team as they work on opening their first restaurant this fall.
UK CEO Tom Crowley will lead the team, consisting of: Chief Development Officer, Tom Byng; Chief Technology Officer, David Carey; and Chief Operating Officer, Neil Williamson.
Carey is part of The Restaurant Group, where, as a digital director, he was responsible for brands including Wagamama, Frankie & Bennys and Chiquito.
According to a press release, it will drive all technologies for restaurants and consumers, building systems to streamline operations, enable frictionless guest experiences, and understand and analyze guest data.
Carey will oversee the creation and implementation of the Popeyes UK app, which will have its own delivery service.
2. Doctor Peter Schroder in Karakuri
The food robotics company, Karakuri, hired Dr. Peter Schroder as Chief Technology Officer.
Schroder previously served as CTO for McLaren Applied and also held various positions at McLaren, including chief engineer for the racing team.
