SHANGHAI, June 11, 2021 / PRNewswire / – Continuing the tradition of Swiss startups participating in the world’s largest technology fairs, Switzerland kicked off the new swisstech China series starting with the National Startup Pavilion at the Consumer Technology & Innovation Show (CTIS) 2021 from 9 to 11 June 2021. The Best of CTIS Innovation Award was awarded to three of the five startups participating on site.
Swiss startups took the stage at the Consumer Technology & Innovation Show (CTIS), a leading trade fair in the consumer technology and innovation sector with over 80,000 visitors and over 3,000 exhibition stands at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC) since 9 to 11 June 2021 18 leading Swiss startups in the fields of robotics, artificial intelligence, software, autonomous navigation, biometrics, AR, quality control system, lifestyle technology, EnergyTech, HealthTech, FoodTech, Edtech and TravelTech have physically or virtually joined the CTIS 2021 to showcase Swiss excellence in technology and innovation.

Due to limited international travel during the COVID-19 pandemic, five startups physically joined the pavilion at CTIS 2021: Flyability, Fixposition, holo | one, ScanTrust and STOR-H Technologies; while 13 startups virtually participated: Aitonomi, Animatico, collectID, farmer connect, FlavorWiki, GlobalID, IDUN Technologies, Kemiex, LocalBini, QUBS, Scientific Visual, SKEO and TravelerFirst by Smartorus. Gotthard, the driverless electric racing car of the world-record family of electric vehicles, built by the AMZ Formula Student team of ETH Zurich, was also presented in the swisstech pavilion, located in a prime location.
On 9 June the Swiss startup team at CTIS 2021 was highlighted at the Global Startup Launchpad Demo Day. The Consumer Technology & Innovation Show holds the Best of CTIS Innovation Awards to reward innovative products, services and technologies that define the future of the industry of consumer technologies. The Best of CTIS Award went to three of the five Swiss startups that physically participated in the swisstech pavilion. Fixposition, holo | one and STOR-H were awarded for their advancements in innovation, AR / VR and Green Technology respectively.

The swisstech China series will also be present at the Tech-G Shanghai International Consumer Electronics Show from 14 to 16 October and at the China Hi-Tech Fair from 17 to 21 November in Shenzhen.
The swisstech China series is organized by Swissnex in China and swisstech in collaboration with ETH Zrich, EPFL, Innovaud, Greater Zurich Area, Switzerland Innovation and the swisstech campaign partners Presence Switzerland, Switzerland Global Enterprise, Innosuisse, digitalswitzerland and Swissnex.
