Amazon, Google executives will testify before the Senate antitrust committee next week

As House Democrats prepared to announce a handful of bills to curb Big Tech’s market powers, the Senate Judiciary Committee’s Antitrust Subcommittee announced Friday that the executives of Amazon.com Inc. AMZN, – 0.08% and Google’s parent company Alphabet Inc. GOOGL, -0.20% GOOG, -0.30% is expected to testify next week, along with an executive from speaker manufacturer Sonos Inc. SONO, +2.58 %, a critic of the two tech giants. Amazon Associate General Counsel Ryan McCrate and Google Public Policy Specialist Wilson White are expected to testify, sens. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., Panel chairman, and Mike Lee, R-Utah, said in a statement.
