GameStop trends on Twitter thanks to the new Nintendo Switch. For weeks, rumors of the latest Nintendo Switch have been a topic on social media platforms.
Everything has been talked about and discussed, from the specs of the new Nintendo Switch to its name and price to its exclusive games. However, the latest leak could add credit to a couple of rumors.
What’s worth mentioning first is that Nintendo didn’t recognize these rumors, so its existence is inconclusive.
The loss of Nintendo Switch by GameStop
On June 13, GameStop opened a new trade-in. The trade-in will run until June 19, according to GameRant.
Looking on the right side shows how much credit players could receive when they trade a console they currently own, with the PS5 getting $ 350 in credit while the Nintendo Switch Lite will get $ 150. Plus, there’s an extra $ 50 credit clause. when you trade in a certain type of console.

Console selection includes purchasing New Nintendo Switch Lite or Xbox Series X / S, with New Nintendo Switch written in bold, according to Forbes.
Plenty of names have been mentioned for the Nintendo Switch update, including Switch Pro, Switch Advance, Super Switch, and more, but it looks like GameStop has leaked that it will fall under the New Nintendo Switch name instead.
The name New Nintendo Switch has also been thrown around and doesn’t even fall under Nintendo’s naming conventions.
What adds fuel to this flurry of rumors is GameStop’s overall presentation of the promotion. In two days, Nintendo will host the live E3 and the timing is perfect, according to Inquirer.
Nintendo said it would focus on software, but that could change. Switch is made clear in the press, as is Nintendo Switch Lite.
This means that a capital error isn’t likely to mean a new Nintendo Switch, but that the name itself is New Nintendo Switch, differentiated at least twice in the short GameStop announcement.
This isn’t the first time a retailer has leaked information about the Nintendo Switch update. This very specific and repeated type of error is unlikely to be just a printing error or something else.
If the New Nintendo Switch is just a placeholder and the name is fake, at least that could be an indication that GameStop is aware of the need for a placeholder for an upcoming console pre-order.
GameStop is gearing up for a massive week of E3 pre-order, and while it could mean something else, fans on Twitter have pointed out that such an announcement is unlikely to go this far without anything to back it up.
Development of the new Nintendo Switch
News of the new gaming device has been around for months. According to Bloomberg, Nintendo Co. will begin assembling its new Nintendo Switch in July. It will serve as an improved replacement for the gaming device that has been on the market for 4 years.
The new Nintendo Switch is expected to be introduced on June 12 during E3 2021. Nintendo plans to release the Nintendo Switch Pro in November and is said to cost more than $ 299.
