This is part of a strategy to offer personalization and best-in-class customer support. Starting with online gaming, it will be followed by sports betting, and will then extend to terminals within William Hill physical stores.
To support this, William Hill will migrate the entire UK market offering to Contentstack by the end of 2021.
The technology replaces several coupled content management systems (CMSs) that were unable to support the company’s growth plans.
Aside from the cultural correspondence between Contentstack and William Hill, it was obvious from our initial assessment that the Contentstack product speaks for itself, says Bartek Gerlich, head of engineering for William Hill’s games division.
We were particularly impressed with the ability to simplify A / B testing and the speed and ease with which we were able to create new properties and features.
As a completely cloud-native solution, Contentstack eliminates much of the effort our developer team has to go through and therefore we are better able to focus on the customer experience.
As for the release, we’ve gone from new features that take half an hour to take effect to a matter of seconds. This kind of responsiveness is vital in the gaming industry.
