Xiaomi is planning to launch the Redmi K40 gaming smartphone in India, which is said to be the renamed version of the POCO F3 GT. Numerous leaks and rumors have already appeared on the web revealing the details of the phone and it has also appeared on benchmarking and certification websites in the past. Today famous tipster Mukul Sharma shared the screenshot of the Redmi K40 gaming smartphone which has received TUV Rheinland certification, meaning the company may have plans to launch the phone in the country soon. TUV Rheinland certification for Redmi K40 gaming phone
Following the screenshot shared by the tipster, the smartphone is listed on TUV Rheinland certification with model number M2012K10C / M2012K10I. It seems that the I at the end refers to the Indian version. Also, the list didn’t reveal much about the specs or features of the Indian variant of the Redmi K40 game. As mentioned above, it has been claimed that the Indian version of the Redmi K40 game is a renamed version of the POCO F3 GT, which is currently available for sale in the home country of China.
POCO F3 GT specifications
Just to remember, the POCO F3 GT sports a 6.67-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10 + support. It also features a hole-in camera cutout design to make room for the front camera setup. Under the hood, the phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Users can also expand the storage via a microSD card slot.
The POCO F3 GT packs a huge 5,065mAh battery with 67W fast charging support to recharge the device in no time. It comes with a triple 64MP rear camera setup accompanied by the other two sensors. At the front, it houses a 16MP camera for selfies and video calling.
If the rumors turn out to be true, the Redmi K40 game should arrive with similar specs. It would be interesting to see when Redmi plans to launch the device in India and at what price.
