The Steam Summer Sale 2021 has officially aired, offering players a slew of great PC games at heavily discounted rates. In addition to all these good discounts, Steam is also introducing a tie-in of minigames and game profiles.
Known as Forge Your Fate, the Steam Summer Sale adventure minigame features the following description.
You are obviously a hero. Everyone says it. But what kind? This year’s summer sales are not your normal super discounted sales, you are about to tackle a series of tales, each ending with a choice that will help you rank what kind of hero you are.
Choose between two possible actions in each of the fourteen Forge Your Fate stories found during the sale and receive an animated sticker as a reminder of your decision. After completing all the stories, you will get one of five unique badges that reflect your choices.
So choose! All items must be claimed before July 8, 2021 10am PST, after the summer sale ends.
You always knew you were a hero. Time to find out what kind of hero you are. What will you do next?
Depending on the page you choose after this text, you will be directed to a specific genre of games that are heavily discounted. After reviewing the selections, you have the option to continue your story. Making gives you a series of choices that will unlock a special badge.
This ties into the Steam Points store update it does alongside the event, picking up some special profile packs from various games.
