Luxshare-Tech leads the industry on QSFP 112G

MILPITAS, Calif., June 28, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – We have worked hard to develop our unique solution for QSFP112 MSA, which includes industry promoters such as Alibaba Cloud, Baidu, Inspur, Inphi and H3C. The recent vote selected the Luxshares solution as the industry direction for the future.

As the demand for bandwidth grows, the need for single lane speed in a QSFP is hitting 112 Gb / s. QSFP112 is the module and cage / connector system based on the current QSFP form factor, aiming to support the speed of 112 Gb / s per lane in a 4-lane QSFP system and to enable the QSFP interconnect ecosystem 400G. The MSA will greatly help legacy QSFP users upgrade link bandwidth to 400G per port with lower cost and shorter transition times.

Luxshare’s unique solution provides significant SI performance improvements over other proposed solutions. We have made improvements to crosstalk, insertion loss, and return loss. Besides YES, another benefit to our connector design is the simpler fan-out for 2xN footprint, especially belly-to-belly layouts, which leads to lower PCB design costs.

With all the innovative changes, we still maintain backward compatibility with legacy QSFP modules, including optical transceivers and copper cables. The proposed QSFP112 module is also compatible with the QSFP-DD 800 cage and connector.
