“God [Monnie] is a student-athlete capable of playing over the net at a level we’ve never seen in our gym, “said coach Amber McCray.” After giving up last season, he’s hungry to get back on the pitch and should provide a instant push for us both in the offensive and defensive phases “.

Spasojevic, a transfer hitter from Odessa College, scored 296 kills and 2.93 kills per set as a sophomore. The Krusevac, Serbia native also logged 247 hits and 2.45 hits per set to help bring Odessa to a 26-4 record and the NJCAA Southwest District A championship.

“We are so excited to add a couple more talent transfers to our 2021 class,” McCray said. “Andrea has played an important role in his team’s success this season, providing a consistent and effective pass-through option all year round en route to their sixth place in the NJCAA national tournament.

“We look for him to bring valuable experience against solid competition to a young group of returning hitters this year.”
