Monster Hunter Stories 2 – X marks the Mission Guide point

[ad_1]

As with many side missions in Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, X Marks the Spot is another one you’ll find yourself looking for for a while, as the clues you get about it are pretty vague. Not only that, but the specific mission is received at a point where it cannot even be completed, as the places you will need to visit come much later than the point where you get it. Let’s take a look below.

How to complete the X Marks the Spot mission in Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin

The search itself is divided into three parts, as you will need to visit three different locations to find everything you need:

Sailor’s Beach – Alcala RegionNorth Kamuna Cape – Hakolo IslandZeramon Oasis – Lamure Region

First, we have the sailor’s beach, in the Alcala region. You have to travel to the south of the beach, just where the picture above shows. Interact with the shiny object there to continue the search.

Right after that, you will need to go to North Kamuna Cap on Hakolo Island. This is a little more complicated, as the explanation given is for the search for this object is not so clear. Quickly travel to the Catavan Stand which is there and go east until you find the waterfall, also shown in the image above. Approach the shiny object and repeat the process.

Finally, you must have unlocked the game’s fourth region, Lamure, and progressed a bit in the story until you unlock the Oasis of Zeramon. The shiny object this time is right in the middle, near Oasis Everden. Approach and interact with it, as you did before.

With this, you have finally found the pirate treasure. Go back to the NPC mission donor, return the item and you’ll receive a good chunk of cash, bottle caps, and items that can be sold for additional cash.
